THE CHRISTMAS LIST

By Jay Pearson

If Jesus had a Christmas list, what do you think would be at the top of his list? If you wanted to give him a birthday gift, what do you think he would desire of you?

John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:12
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

John 14:21
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Jesus has kept that promise.

What Christ desires most from you is your love and obedience. Can one man's obedience really make a difference in life?

Romans 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Shall we hold back what the Lord ask us for? Shall we disobey and cause ourselves to sin and possibly others to sin observing our behavior? Or shall we love the Lord by keeping his commandments, thereby offering a good witness by our behavior that others might seek his righteousness? Let's obey his commandments and love one another.

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Proverbs 7:1-3
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

This Christmas, let's give the Lord the best birthday present we could possibly give - our love and our obedience.

John 15:12
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
