TIM'S BlOG
March 10, 2012:
"Not my father, not my mother, but it's me, O Lord,
Standing in the need of prayer.
Not my sister, not my brother, but it's me, O Lord,
Standing in the need of prayer."
Just 39 days after Evan Pyle and I returned from Tanzania, I am leaving tomorrow morning with Jay Pearson to teach a class in Meru, Kenya. Please remember us in your prayers to God for the success of our journey, and for the wellbeing of our loved ones at home.
From March 14 to 18, I will be teaching "In the Power of His Might," my seminar on the gifts of the Spirit. This class is being hosted by Rev. John Opio of Christian Life Teachings International as part of his training program for pastors in rural parts of Africa. I am very excited about making this presentation, as I have not taught this material for several years.
The class will take place in Mutuati Town. So far I have not been able to locate this town on a map, but here is the location of Meru:
Jay and I are scheduled to arrive in Nairobi on Tuesday morning, the same day David Mantock starts his journey home from his own Kenyan mission. (We won't be seeing each other at the airport though; David's flight leaves in the evening.) John will meet us at the airport and from there we will drive about five hours to the class location.
This week I posted the March 2012 edition of our Vine & Branches magazine. It is also posted on this website. Of course we hope that the articles are a help and a blessing to you.
Congratulations to Jay Pearson for his ordination on February 26. Jay continues to be a key part of WTWH's partnership with Christian Life Teachings International, and this appointment is very appropriate to his calling. Here are some photos from that blessed occasion.
Thank you again for your love, support, and prayers!
In the service of His Majesty, the King of kings,
Tim
